IMPACT LABEL
All MADE out of or products feature a label with a unique QR code which links to an online impact page. By scanning the QR code, the recipient of the product gets to see where, by whom and what the product was made from.

MATERIAL
The leather-like material of our apple leather is made from the remains of apples from the juice industry in Italy. To make 1 litre of juice, 1.4 KG of apples are needed. The peel, core and dried pulp is what remains after pressing.

By recovering this ‘waste’, grinding it and then processing it into the apple juice, we not only reduce waste management costs but also damage the environment. In addition, this natural waste is also used to replace other raw materials of chemical origin in production, reducing emissions and energy consumption throughout the production chain. Thus, apple waste replaces up to 50% of what was previously fossil.

As a result, we have better control over our waste streams and know exactly who made our products. We are also able to offer promising work to people with a distance to the labour market.
